Maintenance is ALMOST unavoidable. I don't see how it's that sexist, but sex is irrelevant to the advice given.

What I find most odd about it is that those could apply to anyone who doesn't know about car buying. Why do they specifically call out to women? Do they think women won't click the article if it doesn't specify?

Besides that it's condescending as fuck, it's precisely that: sexist for assuming these are things only "girls" need to be told how to do, and that we need a dedicated "for girls" step-by-step article to walk our dumb brains through basic shit like budgeting.
Unless there is a section telling you how to shift with your vagina during your test drive (which EW), I'm pretty sure sex should be irrelevant in the car buying process.

Its sexist BECAUSE the advice is irrelevant to the gender of the reader

Yeah, I just forgot I wasn't on Reddit for second and it wasn't sexist against females. Oh yeah, hope for you a quick recovery.

Sure, it was a laparoscopic tubal ligation. Long story short, even though I've never wanted kids, (and physically can't have any biological ones due to a blood condition causing miscarriages), and I've experienced issues with literally every form of BC on the market, it was STILL a nightmare finding a surgeon to respect the concept of patient autonomy and do the procedure. Really relieved now, though :)

I'm glad it went well, You dont have lupus do you? The only reason I'm asking Is because I have a lot of AutoImmune Problems and I know lupus can cause Miscarriages

Thanks! and sexism can hurt both men and women at the same time... IE if women get preferential treatment in custody cases (which is absolutely unfair to fathers), it's due to a sexist assumption that we are the better parents because it's our primary job to be the homemakers and caretakers.

No, it's a hereditary thing. My mother had more miscarriages than children, and if I ever want kids, I'd rather adopt than put myself and partner through that. Hope you are doing well on the lupus front, a friend of mine has been dealing with a lot of issues from hers lately.

Oh, I dont have lupus (thank god) But I do have Crohns, Celiac, Severe Asthma, Hypothyroidism, Complete Growth Hormone Deficiency and Multiple Anaphylactic Allergies. And I'd rather adopt too, These bad genes have to stop somewhere.

I know that, I just wasn't thinking. It's also under the same category with domestic violence and rape, because apparently males can't be raped and females can't conduct violence. Granted, males are more likely to commit these things, but the logic that all males are closeted rapists is getting ridiculous.

Now that's quality content right there.

I thought the headline said " This is the sexiest thing I've ever seen" and was very disappointed. That being said, this article is bullshit. Blatantly sexist and insulting to the reader.

Wait, what time DOES the Family Dollar close? That is a legit question there. It's not like I can just, google " family dollar hours " and come up with a answer.

Honestly, they ask some relevant questions (albeit in SUPER ANNOYING slideshow form, ugh), but it's the framing that makes it groan-worthy. Girls aren't the only gender that might be total newbies to the whole car-buying experience.
Shoot, I don't know much aside from "uh, get it checked out and bring butt tons of cash." The whole financing option is a mystery clouded in an enigma (and a whole lot of do not want for me, TBH).
